Random things I've learned recently

• tumbleweeds are not native to Texas and are edible when not dried (Italians put them in their salads!)
• two words I'm sure my grandparents made up: ballicossy means butt, rear-end and cobby means messy, disheveled
  
• your brain's memory records from midnight-1am, so its best to be asleep at that time and you'll remember more
• chocolate was originally drank as a liquid, not eaten as a solid
• in aptitude tests, women were found to be superior to men in all categories except aggression and abstract thought
• wedding cake started as small pieces passed through a ring for fertility blessings, then wrapped in cloths and passed out to all young single women to put under their pillow and dream of their future husbands
• The recipe for ice cream was stolen from the French by the English by kidnapping a chef
