It's time to start living. No more existing under a rock, sometimes embracing, then hunching down again. No more of this "I want to go back to college". No more letting circumstances or the past stop me from moving forward. No more being afraid. No more "I'd write in my blog if I had more time" but it has been months since an update. No more excuses: it's go time.
I am not in control. I never have been in control. I never will be in control. What a surprisingly comforting thought! My job is to enjoy the ride, and let God steer this crazy rollercoaster of my life.
I've always said my mission in life is to be Passionate for Purpose. To live each day with a passionate zest for life, living to glorify Christ and living to love and share with others the reason why I sing, the hope and joy that only God can bring. That's what I have been doing, but somewhat halfheartedly. I'm not sure why it has taken me this long to fully accept being in the real world, to accept that I am in fact, as old as I think I am. But to also remember that it's not really a limitation. Each day is an adventure for the taking, every day a new experience, a new conversation, a new vision. I love meeting new people and visiting new places that give me a new perspective and new appreciation. We are meant to be in community, to live life with others!
I'm excited about the future and ready to tell the stories. What's next? Skydiving here I come!
