Rainy days in June

Hello!

This is my very first post on an actual blog, and it is quite the rush. I'm sitting on the floor listening to the rain's pitter patter and the distant booming of thunder. I like that it sets my story with such a setting. It's almost like more is expected from my writing under these conditions.

I wanted to start a blog because I feel it is so important for us to express ourselves and get our ideas and feelings out there. I learned a long time ago that I express myself (and others understand me better) when I use written words, rather than spoken. Don't get me wrong, I truly believe that you can never truly know someone until you've spoken, written, and actually talked with someone face to face. A wise man once told me that "You are who you are when no one else is looking", and although that may be true, if you are truly who you want to be, you should be that person at all times, through all outlets.

I also wanted to start a blog because I will be traveling to Italia in the fall and wanted a way to share photos and what is going on in my travels. I'm so excited to get to experience another country and meet people in another culture!

Let's just say that this is the first of many, of the many written adventures of Adrienne. Wait. Do you know where I got that title from? It just came to me....Winnie the Pooh! Oh well, I guess he'll have to share. haha, I can't help but laugh at myself for that.
