So I'm a secret hoarder.
I'm working on getting rid of this bad habit, but it's a slow process. Many strides have been made in 2013 so far, but one of the biggest and funniest accomplishments?
I'm embarassed to admit to it, but it's true: I have 3 pairs of old hard contact lenses from 2006-2011, back-ups for those "oops" moments of throwing my contacts in a dumpster, down the drain, etc.
Yes, that's right folks, I have been hoarding used contacts for the past 7 years. I also have a lovely 10 case collection of contact lens cases.
I successfully purged my belongings of the old lenses today after fervently
looking online for a charity to donate them to. Someone could use them,
right? Surely? Umm....no. I hear my grandma and mother's voice as I
searched the websites. "Nothing ever goes to waste..." But all websites said used were unacceptable. In other
words, they were considered gross...unusable. Well, I guess I have to agree. To the trash they go.
Maybe you'll be the lucky one to inherit the lens cases in my will.... ;)
